Summary of expertise of the West Suffolk CBT Service
The West Suffolk CBT service has offered services to the public since 2006. It has an outstanding reputation locally, and is a referral source for statutory and non-statutory bodies, for example, Suffolk Occupational health, Social Services, BUPA, AXA PPP, local schools, local GP practices etc.
The West Suffolk CBT Service is predominantly operated by Chartered Clinical Psychologists who a) have considerable experience in their field and b) offer a range of services outside of CBT (for example, clinical supervision, neuropsychological assessment, parenting assessment, WAIS/WISC assessment, functional analysis, legal reports and clinical supervision). Cognitive Behaviour Therapists employed by the West Suffolk CBT Service are fully accreditable by the BABCP and have a minimum of five years experience as a CBT therapist.

Currently the West Suffolk CBT Service accepts referrals from West and East Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, South Norfolk, and Essex regions. Many clients travel by car to utilise our service. Current travelling times of clients range from five minutes to an hour and fifty minutes.
The West Suffolk CBT Service offers domiciliary visits to locations within ten minutes drive from the office. For destinations where more than ten minutes travelling is required, the West Suffolk CBT Service charges for the time required at clinical rates.
Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration status Clinical Psychologists and Cognitive Behaviour Therapists who offer services to the public do not currently fall under the legal remit of the CQC. The West Suffolk CBT Service has been in discussion with the CQC to assess the possibility of registering the organisation at a voluntary level, however it currently appears that a voluntary registration also falls outside of the CQC remit. Legal and Regulatory status of the West Suffolk CBT Service The West Suffolk CBT Service is not involved in any litigation or pending litigation. In addition, there are no known circumstances that may give rise to litigation. The West Suffolk CBT Service or any of its employees have not been involved in any criminal conduct. No West Suffolk CBT Service Ltd clinical employee has had their professional Registration removed or suspended. The West Suffolk CBT Service does not meet any of the grounds for rejection of economic operators as outlined in Regulation 23 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006. The West Suffolk CBT has honoured all previously held and currently held contracts with its purchasers.
